Psychological Support for Fertility

Specialized psychological counseling for fertility, offered in close collaboration with our clinic.

We believe that taking care of you isn’t just about monitoring your hormones and embryos. It’s also about providing you with a space to express your feelings—without pressure, without judgment, and without having to look elsewhere.

That’s why we work closely with Dr. Stéphanie Goron, a psychologist specializing in fertility and perinatal care, who is available throughout your journey at the clinic.
Psychological support is available to anyone receiving care at the clinic who feels the need for it. Whether you’re attending your first consultation or not, whether you’re going through a difficult waiting period or simply looking to better equip yourself, this support is available.

It’s also available to partners. A fertility journey is rarely experienced alone, and its impact on loved ones is often underestimated.

“Infertility is a journey often fraught with doubts, stress, and uncertainty. Taking care of your mental health is essential to navigating this journey and better coping with the challenges associated with infertility.”

Dr. Stéphanie Goron

We are proud to have Dr. Stéphanie Goron, a psychologist specializing in perinatal and fertility care, on our team to support our patients as they navigate the complex challenges of infertility and assisted reproductive technology (ART).

With her deep understanding of the psychological issues associated with this process, Dr. Goron helps patients better manage the stress and emotions they experience when embarking on the journey of assisted reproduction.

Dr. Stéphanie Goron is a clinical psychologist and a member of the Ordre des Psychologues du Québec. She earned a master’s degree in psychological sciences from the University of Louvain-la-Neuve (Belgium), followed by a Ph.D. in psychology from the University of Quebec in Montreal.

Her professional career has taken her to the Douglas Hospital and the CHUM, where she completed her internship and worked in the assisted reproduction clinic, as well as at the CHUM’s birthing center. Today, she practices in private practice, working closely with our team.

“I offer a safe and supportive space for listening, sharing, and compassionate support to help you better cope with the challenges surrounding infertility, assisted reproductive treatments, and the transition to parenthood. My goal is to help you find balance throughout this deeply personal journey, which is unique to each individual.”

Q: How do I make an appointment with Dr. Goron?

A: You can request this directly from our team during your medical consultation, or contact us by phone or email. You do not need a formal referral from your doctor; simply let us know that you need this service.

Q: Are consultations covered by my insurance?
A: The services of a psychologist are generally covered in full or in part by private group insurance plans, depending on your coverage. They are not covered by the RAMQ. We recommend that you check with your insurer before your first appointment. You will be given a receipt for reimbursement purposes.
Q: Can I schedule an appointment even if my treatment is over, whether it was successful or not?

A: Absolutely. Dr. Goron is available to support you at any time, not just during active cycles.

You don't have to know exactly what you need to get started.
