A laboratory designed for fertility care

Our laboratory was designed specifically to meet the needs of a fertility laboratory, from the very beginning of the construction phase. Every architectural and technical decision was guided by one objective: to provide embryos with the best possible conditions.

The result is an environment with a level of control that is rare in Quebec.

All materials are Greenguard-certified, an industry standard that helps minimize exposure to chemical compounds released by conventional materials, which can impact the quality of the embryonic environment over time. UV-free lighting helps protect reproductive cells during handling. The laboratory and operating rooms have a fully independent ventilation system from the rest of the clinic, ensuring consistent air quality under all circumstances. Temperature is precisely maintained throughout every stage of gamete and embryo handling and storage.

The founders

Dr. Carole Kamga-Ngande and Dr. Julio Saumet

Dr Carole Kamga-Ngande is a specialist in reproductive endocrinology and infertility, a researcher, and an associate clinical professor at the Université de Montréal. In addition to her practice at Miacleo, she serves as Director of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the CHUM. A woman driven by both commitment and science, she is actively involved in improving care pathways in women’s health and supporting initiatives within the community.

Dr Julio Saumet is a specialist in reproductive endocrinology and infertility. Alongside his clinical practice, he serves as Miacleo’s Scientific Director. An active researcher, he contributes to the development of guidelines from the Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society. His interest in international advances, strengthened through collaborations with specialized teams around the world, directly informs the clinic’s protocols.

What distinguishes Dr. Kamga-Ngande and Dr. Saumet, beyond their impressive backgrounds, is the humility with which they practice medicine. Two colleagues who became friends, driven from the very beginning by the same commitment: ensuring that every patient finds the best possible conditions at Miacleo to move forward on their fertility journey.

They are supported by a multidisciplinary team of clinical nurses, embryologists, andrologists, reception staff, coordinators, and administrative professionals who share the same commitment to excellence every day.
