• Graduated as a urologist from the University of Montreal in 1996 and certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
• Subspecialization in pediatric urology at the University of Toronto and SickKids Hospital in Toronto
• Doctorate (PhD) in physiology with a concentration in endocrinology from the University of Sherbrooke in 2013, concurrently with his training at the University of Montreal.

• Reconstruction of the urinary tract in children and adults
• Complex reconstruction of genital anomalies
• Development of the transition clinic at CHU Saint-Justine and CHUM
• Male infertility related to congenital and genetic anomalies
• Over 60 scientific presentations and publications

On a more personal note

Dr. Barrieras is calm, attentive, and reassuring, and does everything he can to help his patients. He is also an athlete who enjoys cycling, running, and golf. He loves music and never misses an opportunity to attend concerts.
